The day did not have a good start - it was 32 degrees that night and we got pretty cold. We got up as quickly as possible as we had to hurry to be ready for the 11am boat tour. This required a 45 minute drive around the rim and a hike down to the boat dock. Also we had to have everything packed up by then also.
The boat tour was spectacular - being in a lake of volcanoes within a volcano. This was the second deepest lake in the USA but the clearest and the bluest.
Once we were done with the boat tour we got on the bike and headed towards Eugene, stopping at a nice brand new hotel for the night - beats a tent any day of the week!
